SYNOPSIS
Domineering cattle farmer Jacky Vanmarsenille (Matthias Schoenaerts in a ferocious breakout performance), constantly pumped on steroids and hormones, initiates a shady deal with a notorious mafioso meat trader. When an investigating federal agent is assassinated and a woman from his traumatic past resurfaces, Jacky must confront his demons and face the far-reaching consequences of his decisions.

'MS: Basically nowadays everything is so manipulated. Fish is manipulated. Vegetables, fruit, everything.
Michael, you said there’s five hormones that are legal to use on cows in the United States. It’s suddenly dawning on me that this whole story about deceit and violence and death would have never happened in the U.S. because you could just put these hormones into the cows.
MRR: Yeah. That’s an important thing: you can’t remake this movie in the States.'
'[...] You know, sketch-comedy gets popular for a few years because people get tired of hearing comics just saying what’s on their minds and then people want something else and there is a circle or recycle that we go through, but people will always appreciate when someone is really different. As far as keeping things fresh, the more you perform the better. The weeks that I go on the road, I try to schedule as many gigs as I can without driving myself nuts so there can always be an interaction with the world, so that I can be writing new stuff.
I want to say this is the best time I’ve ever seen in comedy but then I try to name my favorite comics right now and it is hard. There are a lot of great comics but there is always room for more comics.'
