I have always been a massive geek. Technology fascinates me and I am always exploring new ways to use technology in creative ways. I don’t think technology should ever alter or replace live music making, but I do think there is a place for technology in the modern art world, the arts are forever shifting and expanding and we must move with the times._ERIC WHITACRE

'Hip-Hop is not a musical discipline.
It is a poetical one. Its future depends primarily on how long its main purchasing demographic remains youngish American white males,
as they are the main determinates
of recorded music sales.
Youth throughout the world are making Hip-Hop recordings (including China, India, the over 60 countries in Africa, Latin America and the Middle East combined). Possibly Hip-Hop could have a longer life if it lost its mysogynistic stance, and integrated more musical feminine and poetic sensitivity into its product.' _ED BLAND

It was about time somebody came up with a real tool, free of corp, sinking teeth, that would really help our everyday rockstars and thus us, world's music lovers. Our favourite Texan rockstar, actor & beatboxing master, John Pointer, who, and as you know, composes and performs kick ass tunes himself, decided he could bring the old patronage back integrated into some sleek webframe (courtesy of web architect Dave Kuster). Guess what: it kinda makes sense. 'For Music's Sake', here's some real-'ism' to support:
LACUNA COIL NEW ALBUM!: DARK ADRELINE
Dark, sweet, light, hard... pure ADRELINE! It's heeeerrrreeeee! The Italian gothic metal band, released their sixth studio album ‘Dark Adrenaline’ on January 23. Produced by Don Gilmore (Avril Lavigne, Linkin Park) the album is already being considered by their fans to be the band's best to date. What can I say... I'm about to agree as, right now, I'm trippin' on 'Trip the Darkness' (have a listen, below), their first single, which has already reached over 216,000 hits on Youtube as I'm writing this.
Bowing to Cristina Scabbia, lead vocalist and lyricist, who has surpassed herself in her rich and powerful vocals, and has hid, not so inconspicuously, sharp little messages filled with devastating light amongst the most tantalizing darkness throughout most of the album.
Andrea Ferro’s vocals are always a fine counterpart and the guitar riffs of Marco Biazzi and Cristiano Migliore, an absolute testimony of their prowess on fine tuning raw chords into a driving force of metal delight.
Full of white pearls on a backdrop of precious onyx could be the overall description for Dark Adreline; the delicious variations in mix-genre, mood and tempo makes it really difficult to offer a straight and strict musical or lyrical definition. Listen to the entire album and you'll know exactly what I mean, part of my brain is still happily lost in their version of REM's 'Losing My Religion'.
'End of Time' is another one causing a big buzz amongst fans and critics alike. And I've just seen a video clip that has used it for the trailer of 'The Hunger Games' movie (big special coming on this one soon, keep tuned!). What a perfect fit! And here's included the tune, for your knowledge, your enjoyment, and that final reason you need to make the purchase.
