Why do they call it 'love' when it's just possession? Because we are led to believe that we're truly loved by the other person if he/she shows us some possessiveness.

An example of this conceptual distorsion, taken to the social limit, is the general mass attraction that exists towards the 'vampire fantasy', vampires which are, essentially, blood-sucking creatures avid to drain the lifeforce out of you.
