Born in Valencia, Spain, Mjo has been living in the United Kingdom, between London, Southampton and Brighton & Hove, for over 10 years now.
Coming from painting and comic illustration backgrounds, this talented and original artist, decided to broaden her skills by studying Multimedia Design at the University of Brighton, later obtaining a Master Degree on 3D Animation by the University of Valencia, while in a two year break in Spain.
Although Mjo´s 3D shorts show a clear influence from Burton´s early works, most of her paintings, illustrations and specially her comic´s works have a very unique style.
Mjo likes depicting both controversial and mundane situations in her art, in a way that renders them somehow endearing.
Provocative and passionate, her art will never leave you indifferent.
